I've found the Natural Born Killers soundtrack to be nicely diverse, and the Lost Highway soundtrack to be evenly centered. Of the more recent ones I own, I like a lot of them. Admittedly there's a track here or there I haven't the patience to listen to, especially with the recent era ones, but I see good overall.

I'm really digging the music from Juno too. By all means I feel like I should hate it but it's really catchy... But I really love the Umbrellas of Cherbourg.

Not too tight as far as qualifications go on either end, but certainly not the same thing.

Including Mothra's Song. Clear up the matter? Yep. Now for the rest of the internet to figure it out.

Feels a bit strange having a Moldy Peaches revival 8 years on from first hearing them, but I'm not complaining. Nothing wrong with a bit of anti-folk music :) Also quite keen on the Trainspotting soundtrack, although that's as much because it features quite a few of my favourite artists on it as anything else. Could have been improved by putting Choose Life on there instead of the extra release they did though - not much worthy of listening time on Trainspotting 2.

I hardly get those these days :P (I don't think I was even the first to mention it on this thread) To tell the truth I never even heard of the Moldy Peaches until Juno but hey, it's rather catchy so I'm not complaining.
Scott Rank : 84	Posted : 3 months ago at Apr 8 19:32 - Well, back in the days when I was on the grunge bandwagon, "Singles" probably ranked rather high. Some of those tracks still hold merit today. The electronic music fan in me liked the soundtrack to the George Clooney version of "Solaris", as well as "Legend". Though "Legend" was mostly for Tangerine Dream employing Jon Anderson and Bryan Ferry for vocalists on two songs.

baum Rank : 31	Posted : 1 month, 3 weeks ago at May 16 10:44 - I've listened to the soundtrack to "Desperado" more than I've listeened to all other soundtracks combined, and more than most non-soundtrack albums. Why? Two words: "Los" and "Lobos," which can be loosely translated from the Spanish as "the freaking musical geniuses making up the best band in America over the last 25 years." The soundtracks to Robert Rodriguez's other films are also listenable, although he started doing most of the composition himself during and after "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and, while he's an okay composer, he's not Los Lobos. Most of the soundtracks produced by Ry Cooder are also excellent, especially "Paris, Texas" and "The Long Riders." Other good 'uns included John Lurie's "Mystery Train" soundtrack, and the soundtracks for "Until the End of the World", "The Future is Unwritten", "Babel" and, of course, "The Harder They Come." And let's not forget the eternally memorable soundtrack from "Willy Wonka."

So, y'know..... shut up. 3. The Graduate - I've only had one time in my life where an older lady tried to seduce me ( unsuccesfully, I might add). Unfortunately, it was late one night offa North Ave., near downtown Chicago. And I think that she expected either money or drugs in exchange. At least, I think it was a she. The darkness of the night combined with "her" facial hair really prevented me from making a fair assesment. 2. Saturday Night Fever - You can tell by the way that I use my walk that I'm a woman's man. No, seriously..... you can. 1. Purple Rain - Y'know, I've been to alot hotels in my time, & I have yet to walk into a lobby that has a girl masturbating with a magazine. Or with my luck, maybe I have, but didn't get there until after security threw her out.

Lemona Rank : 127	Posted : 3 weeks, 2 days ago at Jun 15 5:49 - I'd have to think about this for a while to come up with a perfect list (I've been meaning to make a soundtracks list), but Juno gets points for featuring one of my all-time favourite songs in a movie (Piazza, New York Catcher by Belle & Sebastian. My favourite B&S song, from my favourite B&S album!) The Royal Tenenbaums was pretty awesome. Actually, all Wes Anderson movies tend to have great soundtracks. I listen to the soundtrack for The Life Aquatic all the time. I adore the way Quentin Tarantino uses music in movies, as well. Basically, include all the movies he's directed. Even Death Proof (which I was not a huge fan of - but damn, there were some really memorable musical choices.)

All of the songs on there compliment the film perfectly and sound just as good when standing alone. In any mood I can listen to this film and just feel quite complete. Other top soundtracks are Amelie Braveheart Romeo and Juliet I love the songs that feature in the 'Moulin Rouge'. The arrangement of them was just genius, but most of the other tracks there are hideous! I give full backing to 'Life Aquatic' and 'Garden State'

Lots of good post-punk and 80's stuff, along with a few classical/baroque pieces from the film. Just downloaded the Life Aquatic soundtrack a few days ago. The song "Ping Island/Lightening Strike Rescue Op" is one of my favourite pieces to ever come from a film. Love it!
